Frequently Asked Questions

What else should I know about taking the GED Tests? If you are being administered the test for the first time, you are expected to take the test during a single administration. The only exceptions are that (1) you have been pre-approved for special testing accommodations per GED Testing Service policies or (2) you have demonstrated to the Chief GED Examiner an inability to complete the test battery in a single administration because of transportation or child care needs, or work or family responsibilities. Regardless, if you are administered the GED Test for the first time, you must complete the entire test battery within ninety (90) days from the date the first test was administered. There are only three forms of the GED Test, so you are limited to taking the test three times-each time using a different form.
